Is the Lord on the stool in your life?….
Colossians 3:16 \ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Anonymous asked: In response to your views on atheism/agnosticism, I really don't like the way you said that an atheist "earns the right to that belief". Since when does one earn the right to a system of beliefs they feel works best for them? I'm all for giving religion - or anything in life - a fair chance, but an individual's personal beliefs is their business and their business alone.
Good point. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, that’s given. You asked for my opinion, however, which I gave. My opinion, which I base on general observation, is that most people don’t look into matters of religion. Most Christians can’t even tell you the difference between their faith and other religions. Let me revise my statement; I respect those atheists more who look into things and make an informed decision about their beliefs.

Anonymous asked: Well, what about atheists or agnostics who have read the bible/understand what religion is about/and do not agree with it?
Friend, I’d say their understanding is lacking about a few things.
Christianity should not be confused with religion. It would be an abomination to do so, for this reason: Religion in every form is man’s attempt to reach God, to please Him in some manner of working.
Christianity is wholly different. In Christianity, there is no ability of man to save himself. He is face to face with a holy and righteous God, whom he can not please through any effort of his own. He has sinned and become separated from God.
But Christianity is centered on Christ. Christ is the Savior of man. Christianity is the only “religion” (for lack of a better term) in which God reaches down to man and says, “Stop trying, you can’t be good enough to please me. But I’m a father, I love you. I will do whatever it takes to have you back with me. I will even give my only Son to die in your place, so that you can live with me again.” And this is okay, because God has power over death. God knew that after He gave His Son as a sacrifice, His son would live again. And He does.
Christianity is the only religion with a living Savior. Buddha? Dead. Mohammed? Dead. Joseph Smith? Dead. Christ?
“Seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” (Colossians 3:1-3)
Christianity is not about self-gain. It’s all about Jesus Christ. Any church in the past who used God’s truth for their own gain was an abomination. You may understand religion very fully, but Christianity, my friend, is a mystery.
Thank you for this question.
Anonymous asked: What do you think of atheism and agnosticism?
Truthfully, I think if a person is an atheist, he only has earned the right to that belief if he has read the Bible and asked God with a sincere heart to show him whether it’s true or not.
As for agnosticism, again, I think you’ve got to read the Bible for the truth of the matter. Most, not all, but most unbelievers or people who don’t care for Christianity haven’t seriously read the Bible for themselves. They make assumptions about what Christianity must be based on what people say or what false churches have done throughout history.
Thank you for that question.
Was reading an interview in a local community college student newsletter (source provided) and developed this thought:
We say “the world is small.”
The less you have seen of the world, the smaller it is possible for it to seem in your mind. It is not until you actually begin to physically explore the areas within the world that are accessible to you as a person that the reality of the immensity of the world begins to become apparent to you. Because the world is physically big, and only figuratively small, once you begin exploring, your mind comprehends that it is in fact too large to explore every part of it. Its size takes shape in your mind.
It is the same with God. God appears small to our minds the less we seek Him. The more you attempt to seek to know an infinite God, the more His immensity becomes a reality to your mind. The less possible it seems to know all of Him or understand all, let alone anything, about Him. To realize the vastness and immensity, to appreciate these characteristics of the God of the Universe, you must spend time seeking Him and trying to explore Him.
